It was great to have our friend and former band leader, Neil Rogers, back with us this weekend! The Air Force moved him to New Mexico in May but he came back for a visit and was able to play with the band. Here are the songs we did:
- Come Thou Fount – the writer of this old hymn is not known for sure although it’s been a long standing pillar of church music for quite some time. The goal of our arrangement was to make this song bigger rock’n'roll than any other song ever. Ok, not really “ever”, but it was big!
- Here is Our King written by David Crowder
- Safe written by Phil Wickham – the point of this song is not that life with Christ is easy or “feels safe” all the time. It’s just expressing the fact that being in His care is the best place we can possibly be.
- You Are written by Olivia Tew – Olivia is one of our band leaders at Apex.
- Only You written by David Crowder
